South Manheim Township takes our responsibility to public safety very seriously. Our well-trained and professional road crew is responsible for the maintenance and repair of over 32 miles of roads, as well as bridges, guiderails, pipes, and rights-of ways.  In addition, they are responsible for snow and ice removal, street sweeping, patching, mowing, trimming, maintaining equipment & buildings, and ensuring safe and effective storm drainage along roadways.

In order to provide quality service, the Township employees 3 experienced full-time employees, as well as seasonal help.  Our Road Master has worked extensively to develop short- and long-term goals for our roadways and bridges, always with an eye towards reducing costs and increasing quality. Each member of our road crew brings years of experience and unique talents.
